I have NEVER spent so much money on such a deplorably buggy app. Word of caution to all potential users: save yourself time, money, and frustration, and just rent a car the normal way or ask a friend for a ride. Issues include: - map shows hundreds of cars available but NONE are actually reservable - if you do manage to reserve a car, after reserving, its location magically adjusts to MILES away from you - car doesn't unlock when you're away from cell service - support is totally nonresponsive

Being an essential element in the deal, the features and functionality of this app is as key as any and all else. And my experience to date has been that it IS serviceable- it works. But, it's still a bit clunky and sluggish when it come to displaying one's area map and available cars. my guess is that will steadily improve. UPDATE It *has* steadily improved. Not perfect, but they back it all up with mostly high quality, mostly available support. That usually irons wrinkles out.

I noticed sometimes it only shows 1-3 vehicles all far away from me when I get off from work. Feels like they're using data to determine whether to make it easy to obtain a car depending on your usage and location. I know this because it shows all the vehicles as available for a minute before it takes all the options away. That let's me know that there is something going on in the background determining what vehicles become available to you when you open the app.

I've been using Gig for over a year and I'm a Triple A member. I tried to use a Gig today to get to an appointment, and there were NO cars available in Berkeley. One would show up every now and then, and then it would disappear instantly and the app would try to reserve a car for me in Alameda. Which is 7 miles away, on an island. I had to use a competitor (Zip Car) to get to my appointment instead.

On weekends there'll be like 10 cars for all of East Bay. Often the nearest car will be a cpl miles away. You end a reservation and sometimes it doesn't work. 3 hours later you find out you're paying 50 dollars! It's not in Gig's interested to let you know you have a car sitting there making them money, so they don't. Revel will send you a notification within 10 minutes then automatically end the reservation if you haven't paused it.

Buggy app makes service unusable. The app is no longer showing nearby cars anymore. Cars that are close by flash up for a second but then it's only cars 50 minutes away. I can confirm that there are many cars around me and I'm confident that not all of the cars in my city are reserved at every hour of the day.
