Everytime I used this app, I had to speak to the owner and customer support. While the customer support are friendly and helpful, they will usually take time to figure out what's wrong and having to call them always is terrible customer experience. Additionally, the GPS in the app is bad so locating the car during pickup is difficult. They also don't show the license plate no. in an obvious way making pickup even harder. I don't think I'll be using this app anymore. Too much hassle.

The app itself works fine however service is not the best. Rates are overpriced especially if you want to keep the car for more than 12 hours and even for under that it is steep. I have had problems with vehicles not being present at pickup after having spent money on Uber, cab or public transit to get to the pickup location and I have had most of the vehicles either be unclean or have damage or both. Only one reservations has been good. Now I'm getting blamed for damage I didnt do. HORRID!!

Been renting from getaround for about 7 years now but the last two years customer service has gone horribly down hill. If you use this app, let me warn you that you will absolutely have to interact with customer service at some point and with alarming frequency. While CS agents have always been friendly, they frequently make mistakes. It's also not possible to talk to CS unless you're actively on a trip. Please Getaround, evaluate your CS processes.

Terrible experience renting a car from this company. Their policies that will result in you paying more fees are hidden and not sent it any confirmation email or anything. They are not transparent at all with what they expect from the customer for pickup and return. Save yourself the headache and rent from an actual rental car company. TERRIBLE

I am renting cars for about 6 years now and I am customer of getaround since 2017 but anymore. I recently rented a poorly maintained car. While driving in the middle of the road, the front finder fell by itself. I had to remove it to continue my trip. Upon reporting, I was told that I am liable for that damage. I explained that there is no damage to the exterior of the car, how would I be liable if it fall by itself. The claims team did not listen. I have sent all the pictures showing no damage to car and no damage to front side of the fender. Asked them how I will be responsible when I did not cause any damage. I have emailed multiple times stating the facts and showing the pictures. The only response I have got was no change in our determination and you are liable. They don't care about the condition of the car. They don't listen to any of the facts. They don't answer your questions. They don't even explain why they you are liable. Worst they will get mad at you if you ask questions regarding damage and claim. I would advise anyone to avoid getaround in general as there is no guarantee on the condition of the car you are renting and renter is liable for anything happens to the regardless of whether it is renters fault.

This app started feeling easy and convenient and I took a chance here instead of getting an Uber. Not only did I return the vehicle with a full gas tank to the same spot but I returned it early by 30min. The app totally claimed falsely that I returned it to the wrong place and that the fuel wasn't full and charged me extra. I got on the phone with the customer service the operator and he argued with me that he needed bank statements to prove I put the gas in the car even after I uploaded a pic
