Whether you want to cut back on meat for health reasons or environmental reasons, Eat Less Meat can help you become vegetarian, vegan or just reduce the amount of meat you're eating.

**How To Use**

1) Each day provide the required information about as many (or as few) meals as you like in the 'Add Data' page.

2) Once you have enough data, you can use the 'Trends' page to monitor your progress.
You can use this feature to see how much you are reducing your Meat intake by over time, how much you are reducing your Red Meat intake by, and to see if you are becoming more Vegetarian/Vegan.

3) The 'Meal Record' page will display information about each day's main meal so that you can quickly get ideas of what to cook based on previous meals. The meal name and a coloured dot of either red, orange or green (Red = mostly meat, Orange = partly meat and Green = no meat) will be displayed for each day.

**Reasons To Eat Less Meat**

Eating excess meat can have terrible effects on the environment. Global Warming is thought to be caused by increased concentrations of Greenhouse Gases in the atmosphere. Livestock, such as cows, emit a large quantity of methane - which is a big greenhouse gas - and so if more people reduce their meat intake, less livestock will be needed and less methane will be emitted.

As well as being good for the environment, eating less meat can also benefit your health. Reducing your meat intake and increasing the amount of fruit/vegetables you eat can affect your health in the following ways:

2) Aids in weight loss
3) Helps lower cholesterol
