K9 mails Open Keychain support Yubikey NFC interface to do PGP email Signing and Encryption. This is good because the Yubikey acts as a Smart card feature. The downside is that it only supports PGP and not SMIME cert. If this app supported Yubikey I'd be more inclined to pay for this app. Otherwise I might give up SMIME certs and start using PGP certs on Open Keychain instead.

I am searching for an alternative to K9/OpenKeyChain with Exchange support (EWS) and found in Maildroid a solution. However the crypto plugin is barebone at best and is missing important features compared to OpenKeyChain. I would like to buy Maildroid Pro but this plugin in its current state is not a useful GPG solution and therefore I will not use Maildroid further on.

It is unable to import renewed or newer certificate & keep getting old which i deleted from crypto & local storage i tried clean cache & data but no success also it has Usability bug when i switch to password manager to fill password for signing or encrypting mail via crypto plugin, crypto plugin UI just don't wait and assumes no pwd or null....this needs to be corrected for smooth  operations and for adoption by common users who need hassle free working of signing,  encryption, etc it needs urgent fix.

Only YubiKey support missing.

This app does what it is supposed to, but not consistently. It is not entirely clear when it has access to certificates, for sometimes it seems to ignore certificates in the displayed list when the time comes to decrypting emails encrypted with the matching private key. More annoying is the fact that when I try to display a text file that I have in my Google Drive, the Crypto Plugin gets always invoked, and I am not given the chance to use anything else. This is not necessarily the fault of this app, but still. Because of the above, I can grant it only two stars.

FlipdogSolutions Crypto Plugin 1.07
2015-05-17 / 4.7 MB / Android 2.1+

About this app

The Flipdog Encryption Plugin was built to add onto existing Flipdog Solutions applications to give them enhanced security. The current version supports the existing email application MailDroid and gives it support for S/MIME and openPGP. With openPGP, it supports Inline PGP and PGP/MIME under openPGP.

NOTE: This is a plugin library for existing Flipdog applications and will be of no use without the main application installed.

Current features are focused on MailDroid, but it will soon expand to include other Flipdog Solution apps and will improve over time. Currently, you can send email, write email and read email with PGP, and PGP/MIME as well as sMIME.

*Features*
1. Import private and public certificates for S/MIME (.crt, .cert, .cer, .pem, and .der files)
2. Import private and public keys for PGP (.asc files, PubRing.gpg, SecRing.gpg)
3. Ability to set a pass-phrase timeout
4. Certificates built into the Android Certificate Store will be recognized
5. Use self-signed certificates
6. HKP lookup and Import PGP keys
7. Set your own servers for lookup
8. View and Import from PGP server

Android is a trademark of Google Inc.

*Permissions Explained*
1. The built in file browser needs access to read certificate files or pgp keys from your SD card in order to import them into the app.
2. The internet permission is required for S/MIME to check against the certificate authority and for the HKP implementation to look for PGP keys.
3. Logging ability is needed to send debug logs to us for support, logging is on demand and not run automatically

The Flipdog Encryption Plugin is approved classified under the provisions of ECCN 5D992.c pursuant to Section 742.15(b)(1) of the EAR. Please follow the guidelines of your country in terms of download and usage of this plugin.
