I already have an account on scotrail.co.uk, but when I tried to use those details to log into the app it said they were incorrect. So I assumed that it was a separate account and tried to set up a new account in the app - but it then told me my email address was already registered! :-( It turns out they have upgraded their password policy since I registered on the website and you now need to have at least one special character in your password. I had to update my password on the website (even though I could still log into that fine), and then, at last, I was able to log in on the app too... Jeez.

Oh, I can now buy individual tickets and they'll show up as scannable barcodes in the app? Brilliant! Except no; because it's ScotRail tech and thus is an utter failure so any attempt to actually pay for anything results in a generic error. Tried my debit and credit cards, as did my girlfriend. Would be hilarious if it wasn't so utterly predictable.

Instructions and confirmations for buying and loading tickets wasn't,t straight forward and ended up electing though I didn't,t realise to collect tickets from station rather than directly through the app ?? No one in local ticket office during office hours, frustrating experience.

The app is okay but my ticket that is £23.80 in the station is £34.40 on the app, so I've unknowingly spent far too much on a regular journey more than once. This wasn't resolved with the new app. I was hoping that the Kid for a Quid tickets would finally be available other than in the station but again, no.

Not sure if the new app is any improvement over the old one which was a complete shambles. However Scotrail's initial failure to provide a livable wage to its employees has lead to a labour dispute and their further failure resolve it to a complete break down of services. Trains are now buses which arn't close to stations nor is there any signage to help you find them. Staff can't even direct you to the buses your best avoiding this essential service if at all possible.

Bad app..I really don't like this new app. I can't save my regular journeys it annoying having to put them in every time I travel. I much prefferef the old app, quicker and done what I needed. Whish I could get it back.
