Search bar is useless

Was excited about the update. Finally they fixed the search bar but noooooo still can't see anything. Is it just me or what? Update...uninstalled and reinstalled...still doesn't work.

I was really excited to download this but the search bar doesn't show the characters you're entering. They're there and searchable, you just can't see what you're typing. Please fix!

Text does not show on screen during code search even after latest update that supposedly fixed that problem.
