A little slow to start until you move around and zoom in and out on maps, until they are loaded into memory. Every time I use it it gets faster and I don't need wi-fi for maps that I have visited, a real plus. A good deal for the price.. Thank you!

As I zoom around the map, some sections download and other sections never seen to update with detail. There is no indication if maps are downloading in the background, which breaks rule #1 of UI design; always provide feedback. I can't tell if it's just slow or doesn't work at all. On further investigation, it appears to be buggy. For example, zoom onto Squirrel Island on the cost of Maine off of Boothbay Harbor. No detail or depth.. Don't try to use this for boating.
