Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing FetchSnap on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. About this app

FetchSnap is a photo memory game app for Alzheimer and dementia patients, their family and caregivers. The app is a platform where family member's and friend’s photographs can be uploaded by the family of the patient. The patient will keep reminding his/her family by playing a simple game as follows. The patient has to choose the correct person out of two photographs that appear every 30 seconds on the touch screen of the smart phone or tablet, answering by this he question : “Who is …” . Independently of the answer the correct photograph will appear as result of the choice with either the positive or negative remark “Yes that is …” or “No this is …” Consequently, the patient sees always the correct family member or friend as response on his/her answer and is reminded of this.
Finally when the game is not active for 3 minutes, the tablet, smart phone or laptop where the app is running, switches to an electronic family photo frame sequentially showing the photographs which have uploaded.
