Christoph Poppen, um maestro alemão de renome internacional, teve o sonho de concretizar um Festival de Musica clássica em Marvão. Sonho este que se veio a realizar em Julho de 2014, e que se tornou num momento mágico e inesquecível para todos presentes. Um autêntico festival, onde o local e ambiente único foram superados pela qualidade dos artistas clássicos, um ambiente tão inspirador que entusiasmou e contagiou o público, num fenómeno que acabou por fazer eco além-fronteiras, revelando-se obrigatória a sua reedição.

A vila alentejana de Marvão é um dos lugares mais bonitos de Portugal. Marvão reúne numa combinação perfeita a arquitectura de um castelo medieval com a amplitude do silêncio e do traço da natureza envolvente, que constitui o Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede. Marvão tem todos os elementos necessários para criar uma atmosfera única, um cenário realmente idílico para um festival de Musica Clássica ao ar livre nas suas infra-estruturas centenárias. Foi neste local de rara beleza que o maestro Christoph Poppen teve a visão de unir esta terra milenar com o seu amor pela música clássica e proporcionar aos espectadores um festival de música clássica ao mais alto nível artístico, imerso num visual único de beleza natural.
