Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Talking Chef on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Such a great concept! I love the chef character! Can search for recipes online and select from whichever site you prefer. The voice instructions work well and the clarity of speech was excellent.

Great app!! Some ideas for the next version: needs an italian accent for text to speech as well as a stop or mute command (the mute button wasn't working for me)

About this app

Talking Chef is an innovative recipe organizer focused on letting you cook without having to touch your phone.
Tell the phone what you want and the phone will read out the relevant portion of the recipe.

Forgot the ingredients? No problem, just say "talking chef ingredients" and the phone will read them out for you.
Want the instructions read out loud? Just say "talking chef instructions"!
Other voice commands (all prefixed by "talking chef"): read (reads the ingredients and the first item of the instructions), next (reads next step), previous (reads previous step).
