Pointless, don't bother. Waste of money when app doesn't work. Won't connect most of the time, when it does it crashes.

Quite simply, the app doesn't work properly at all. However, I went to a third party site that hosts apk files and downloaded version 1.0.3 and now it works just fine. I have two of these heaters and the app now lets me control both of them. Sometimes the IT wizards ought to just leave things alone once they are working properly. Just another case of sloppy programming it appears, but it is quite disappointing that Dimplex are not reading these reviews and doing something about it. Typical disregard for customers as usual in this time we now live I'm afraid. Regardless, if you are having problems with the app, I would try this method, as it worked well for me. You'll have to allow access for the app to install, but I did a security scan and it is safe. I hope it helps some of the many who have complained about this app.

It has the potential to be awesome but is so temperamental that I no longer trust it to accurately pre-set the heater. I only use it now to remotely start & stop the appliance. To be truly useful it has to be wi-fi based, the Bluetooth is far, far too limited in range. Visually very good, but practically very poor. See the Amazon Alexa app for how it should be done... But good effort.

Yes it times out after a while and disconnects the Bluetooth remote and so you have to tap on the heater you want and reconnect again. But this doesn't warrant a bad rating. It's actually saving your phone battery by not remaining connected indefinitely. This app works great for me. You can easily turn on and off the heater and adjust the temperature and other settings. Using on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Bluetooth has to be on phone constantly and keeps disconnecting. brought it so I could turn on and warm room downstairs in the morning but BT disconnects and have to press button on heater to reconnect. if Bluetooth worked properly it would be great. 5/10 due to bluetooth. could have brought a much cheaper model if having to just use program function. Update the app to find automatically without having to re press M every time so it could just search/connect from app then you'd get 10/10

Whilst the app is better than using the clunky remote control for basic on off functionality. When you enter the scheduler the app overwrites the machine times with the same one for every day! Very frustrating if you want to have different times on the weekend (as i do!) When this happens you then have to re-enter the schedule on the remote control. Very frustrating! Hence the lowering of my rating.
