This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Farmneed - Bespoke agromet solutions for farm on PC Windows and Mac.

About this app

Farmneed is a mobile based application developed by Express Weather to promote climate smart agriculture. It generates and delivers farm level content on weather, disease risk and risk management. The Farmneed allows its user to register himself based on its geo coordinates, further allows user to choose its crop, service duration etc.

The Farmneed app is developed through multidimensional research of crop weather relationship including disease infestation, input management etc. Before taking to the end users the modules has been tested already in lab level and real life scenario. While Express Weather brought its capability in weather data generation, GIS, software and application development, it has also undergone multiple contract research agreement with Center of Excellence, including National Research Center for Grapes (ICAR), Assam Agriculture Universities, Pepsico to name a few. The same allows the system to access and integrate mission critical agronomic data.

Now Farmers/growers can use the app to get ultra high resolution weather forecast data at farm level, get early warning on disease related risks and can access panel of experts for bespoke advice on crop and agriculture input management. Historical results show between 18% to 20% saving in agriculture input uses, thus huge reduction in environmental degradation, chemical residue less than 1ppm and yield as high as 0.50 ton/acre.
