Update Dec 2019 - the product and app are still as non functional as ever. Does not connect to wifi, might as well be a manual thermostat. So I decided to try a thermostat I found on Wish for £20, it was advertised as compatible with Google home and Alexa. I wasn't that hopeful. Took two week to arrive and it works flawlessly. It connected first time and doesn't disconnect, I can control it from my phone when I am away from home, it integrates with Google home. Uses the smartlife app.

Awful. Called for tech support and was informed that the password that I have for my home wifi is incompatible and should be all lower case letters and numbers otherwise it won't connect. If I want it to work I have to change my wifi password at home and reconfigure the 30+ devices that are setup on it. Seriously?????

Doesn't work! Had for a while now and this has never worked on WiFi. Was recommended by installer, initially it took few trials to connect to WiFi, once WiFi is connected the actual device besides showing WiFi connection on screen displays offline or connection error on select. Only demo devices works. Spent soo much to have it installed but now have to only control via panel buttons

Looking at these reviews and the fact I had issues myself with pairing of the hub and the thermostat to this app, I contacted Thermosphere for clarification of the instructions, and pleased to say all is working well. Basically, connect the hub to your router via Ethernet cable, and then press and hold the (+) connect button on the hub for 3 secs. Device connection light flashes. On the App, enter your WiFi password, and the hub should then show up on screen. (My hub's Device connection light remains off, but the connection is locked in still) Now go to the Thermostat, turn it OFF, and press and hold the far left Mode\Settings button for 5 secs to display the ID code on the stat display. Then press the "Up" arrow button on the stat. The ID code will begin to flash. Whilst it flashes, go to the hub and double press the (+) connect button again (just press it twice), and this should detect the stat and display it on the App screen. If successful, you are now ready control the stat on the app. I struggled with this initially, as I was confusing the number of presses on the (+) connect button with the hub and the stat procedure, so nothing was being detected. Also, rebooting my Android phone first helped before starting the setup. I also have a SKY dual band router, which is using the 2.4ghz band for connection. The setup will only work on 2.4ghz not 5ghz. Apparently only one device should be paired to the hub\thermostat. Hope this helps anyone with the connection problems. Good luck!!

Another 'zero star' review. Neither the App nor the control panel will connect to the WiFi. At least the App can SEE the WiFi, which puts it one step ahead of the controller which cannot even see the WiFi. Total waste of money, just buy a system with manual control.

Won't connect to the thermostat, have tried with 2 different thermostats and 3 different devices running Android 6.0.1, 7.0 and 8.0.0 - it won't connect with any of them. As this is one of the key selling points you should really make it work.
