Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MyTag on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Amazing stuff. Works every single time. o Feature request: It should allow one to partially disable the tag without removing it from the GUI. This could be helpful in the scenarios where you are likely to go away from the tag knowingly.

I can't get the app to work. When I register, its says "internet connectivity failure." Yes, I've tried it with and without WiFi. I have a Samsung galaxy 8. It has plenty of memory and it connects to everything but this app.

Will not connect to the internet when I try to register. Says no internet connectivity. Everything else on my Samsung 8+ connects ok to the internet. Not sure what's up with this app.

I can't go to 2nd page! It keeps showing Internet Connectivity Failure. I'm doing other things on the net so I know it isn't my internet! And, yes, I have the correct app.

Trying to load this app and during registration it won't let you continue to 2nd page. For over a week it says "internet connectivity failure" regardless of locations. Frustrating since we have 3 of these Mytags from Sharper Image.

About this app

MyTAG App works with our BT100 Bluetooth Low energy Tags and it is ideal for tracking of personal assets like your key ring, hand bag, mobile phone, pets, child or luggage etc.. These Tags constantly advertising their presence which is read by your mobile device using this App. The app supports multiple Tags to allow you to Tag multiple objects which can be selectively turned on or off.

BT 100 has a Buzzer for Audio alerts, LED for visual indication and a Multi-function button to switch the Tag on or off or to ping your Mobile phone running the MYTAG App.
The tags have a replaceable coin battery (CR2032) which lasts upto 1 year before needing replacement. Battery status is constantly advertised by the device and you will know when there is a time to change on the MYTAG home page.

Available Features:
Away Mode:When Away Mode is set, the MyTAG App will notify you if your Tagged Asset moves away from you. This can happen when someone tries to steal your asset or you forget it behind.

Approach Mode: When Approach Mode is set, the MyTAG App will notify you if your Tagged Asset arrives in range of your Mobile Device. This can be used for example when your checked-in baggage arrives at the carousel when you arrive at your destination airport.

Buzz Mobile: Short Press the button on the TAG and it pages your Mobile instantly! This can be used in cases when you cannot find your phone or if someone steals it.

Map Location: The App keeps track of your Tag continuously. All Location data is stored locally and not shared. Should you forget your asset somewhere, Just check on the Map to know the last known location!

Other features: Flexible Range Settings. Choose between Long Range of upto 10-12 meters or Short Range upto 1-3 meters when you want to keep your asset close.
Flexible Beep Frequency. Choose longer emitted signal interval for longer battery life or shorter interval should you want quicker monitoring.
