Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing phoneKid on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

In today's society parents feel pressurised into buying a mobile phone for their
children, and increasingly at a younger age. It has now become one of the
favourite presents, but at the same time, it can sometimes cause problems if
children don't learn how to use it responsibly.

phoneKid offers society a new way for families to coexist with digital devices,
which will help parents educate their children in how to use a smartphone
responsibly: we have termed this “parental interaction”. With this phone children
can be safer in the real world and the virtual one.

Allows parents to remotely block the child's phone screen, when they need to get their attention. By simply pressing a button, like on a remote control, an image appears on the child's phone, indicating the activity that theu need to follow (go to bed, study, play, etc.).

Parents, through their remote application, can always locate their children. But additionally, the children also have an SOS button at hand that they can push when in danger or in a panic situation. The geolocalisation system can never be turned off with phoneKid.
