It works, in that it gives the frequency and call sign of the "closest" NPR member station. Only. That's all. Period. If you are in an area where there are multiple NPR affiliates and/or repeater stations, you will never know it, because this only shows ONE. This app is NOT useful because it basically only tells me what I already know. The only reason I tried this is because I was trying to find the app I used to use, which appears to have vanished without a trace. THAT app (not this one) used to show up to six stations (affiliates and repeaters) with frequency, call sign, compass bearing and signal strength. I really wish it was still available, because it was actually useful.

Nice start, but the app shows why advertising isn't always a bad thing. The app needs work, from its icon to its display features, but who is going to spend the time needed to get it over the hump without a few cents coming in each month? Put an ad at the bottom, and give me the option to turn it off for a couple bucks, because coding time is valuable.

Super handy app. I travel a lot for work and the Station Finder helps me keep my radio tuned to NPR no matter where I am. Works quickly and accurately.

I wish it gave more than one station in areas with multiple stations. Instead, it just gives the "closest" station.

Displaying only one station in a metro market, with no option to search for other nearby stations, makes this a worthless app.
