This app is stunning, by far the best one of its kind. My only critisism would be to have a way to re-order/delete the shots after creating them as this can get a little messy.

Everything is awesome. I could really use a way to export out all of the project information, namely shot and take info, for editing. I would give this thing a solid 5!

Keeps crashing on Find Armed Take. Couldn't reset counter without starting all the way from scratch. The DOF was amazing and felt good using

On this phone though - htc1s - the slate does not match the photos above at all and does not work - reading comments below - I am not sure it ever did... I hope that the dev keeps up with this one... I may have to buy him a beer just on principle. EDIT - I take the above back and add a star... After playing a bit - I found the slate. I had put in my camera (a t2i) as a digital still... If I change it to video - Viola. One handy Slate.

I was looking for a DVF and this app meets my requirement, actually exceeds it!!! i can select the sensor size and the focal length of the lens... hope its accurate! wish there was some way getting rid of the compass overlay.....will use it for a while and then consider paying for it. Thanks!

About this app

A Camera Assistant's tool for film-makers working in both film and DV, and still photographers.

FEATURES:
Acacia provides a graphical Depth Of Field (DOF) calculator, equipment management, shot logging and a basic slate or clapper board. It now also contains a Director's Viewfinder (useful to the camera operator and location scout). The DVF includes a compass and level overlay.

PERMISSIONS:
Acacia now requires permission to use your device's camera. The camera is used for the Director's Viewfinder. It currently does not actually take pictures, but will in a future release.

FREE & PAID VERSIONS:
This is the full-functional free version. If you find it useful, consider buying me a beer.

Acacia is intended to be primarily of use to indie film crew - director, cinematographer, DOP, camera operator, and camera assistants (1st AC, 2nd AC). Its interactive DOF calculator may also be of interest to still photographers.

It is free to use, asks for minimal special permissions, and will never display annoying ads.

Acacia is continually evolving and is developed as I have time.

Please leave feedback with comments or suggestions. Bug reports are well-appreciated.
