About this app

Smartbikes is a easy to use public bike rental systeem (Made in Belgium). The public bikes are equipped with smart locks that are connected to a server and management platform. By using the app or a smartcard you can easily rent a smartbike. Via the app you can register, log-in, rent a bike, choose your payment method and look at your rental history.
The smartbikes are equipped with all modern communication technologies such as GPS, GPRS, NFC and BLE. If there is a problem with the bike, tracking is possible.

Renting a smartbike is very simple:

- Step 1. Register via the app or via the website
- Step 2. Select your payment method, afterwards it’s possible to rent immediately
- Step 3. Select your bike via the app, to confirm your choice, push the activation button on the lock. The smartlock will open.
You can always lock the bike at any place by using the smartlock and additional chain.
- Step 4. Return the smartbike, return the smartbike to a smartbike shed and finalize the ride via the app. You will receive a confirmation notification ‘end rental’ and an overview of the costs
