I'm a Master Electrician in the renewable energy industry and am well versed in energy usage. I have solar PV on my home and recently purchased an EV. I decided to install a gen 2 Vue in my home about 3 months ago and I am very impressed! It takes a small amount of manual installation but the resulting info (accuracy to 3-5% by my calc) is Awesome! Keep up the good work Emporia! This is a great product at a very reasonable price!

Vue Gen2 was easy to install. I really like app in general, easy to configure, simple to use. Two major drawbacks I see in app: the device name lenght is ridiculously small, there is no category/icon for lights only circuit (seriously?)

The only problem I seem to have is it sometimes takes a second or two to start showing data when I first open the app.

Putting a 13 character limit on device names is insane. I can't properly name a single plug because of this terrible limitation. The constant reminder about their live support every time I add a device is incredibly unnecessary and just slows down the process. Smart Life gives me the freedom to name my devices properly, so I can properly identify them. Why can't this app accomplish this simple task?

**UPDATE: APP NOW HAS MORE CUSTOMIZABLE DATE RANGES, AS WELL AS SOLAR NET METERING BREAKDOWN (GRID IN/OUT). REALLY EXCELLENT UPDATE!*** I HAVE 5 UNITS IN MY HOME NOW. Integrated in both interior main panels, a sub panel for garage and external mains panel. I have 3 solar arrays and a generator hook up as well.

Great app - The local rate option is awesome, however the rates are not accurate. It would be nice if there were a method to manually input rates, particularly TOU.
