Solid choice. I've been using this instead of a SpeedCoach for a year now in my single. For the most part it gives me the data I want to see. I'd love to see distance per stroke which I don't see this app currently doing. Also it it's frustrating to have to exit the app and then come back in to upload to Strava. I'm not sure I have any reason to move to another app, but I'd love to see these and other UI simplification improvements.

I have been using this app while single sculling for the past three years on a close to daily basis. It is accurate, stable and with a user friendly UI... everything you could want when rowing on water . Also, on the one occasion there was a minor issue with the heat rate monitor following an update, I contacted the developer, who immediately responded and provided a fix. As a rower and also software professional, I highly recommend!

I use this app in a single scull, on an old phone inside a waterproof case. I don't use many of the features, mainly stroke rate, which is pretty accurate. Speed is less reliable, but I guess both measures will depend on the quality of phone accelerometer and GPS. Easy and obviously much cheaper than buying a GPS speed coach. Update... I've been using the feature for viewing my pace over a session, which has been really useful.

Potentially a very interesting application with lots of features, in reality it did not work for me. In only tried it in the boat, mainly to display basic information like stroke rate and speed. I appreciated the possibility to customize my own screen. Real flaw (with my phone) was that the stroke rate could not be determined reliably. Besides that I had practical problems while running it on my phone. It drained batteries too much, because the screen had to stay up. That caused the screen to be dimmed, which made it really unreadable. I had to use a waterproof sleeve which made that harder too. There were some annoying system pop-ups I could not suppress. And then there was the question how to reliably and readably attach the phone to the boat. So in my experience, this might work for a cox, but not for a rower.

Used for sculling but not erging - amazing app, does everything that you could possibly want from a surge coach but better. Screen and numbers are clear and easy to read between strokes, and the accuracy is great. Also paid for the csv function and I highly recommend it. Pairs well with data visualization software to create your own custom dashboards. Also customer service is excellent, app creator responded quickly and helpfully to some questions. Highly recommended for anyone in small boats.

I love this app and dual features (water and erg) I have the cradle for the NK instruments and makes it easier when my impeller based speedcoach can't be used. I use it simultaneously too to calibrate, and log separately my sessions. the parameters on the erg dashboard are very useful if you are into psychotic monitoring or coaching. I'm updating my rating with a feature request: bikeerg and Skierg support please!!!
