The app stopped talking to the hub and even gives errors trying to log in. I wish I wouldn't have spent the $1500 on the product and just bought a $100 smart thermostat. It would have been more effective. The rooms are often 5 or more degrees off the target temp and still heating or cooling in the wrong direction. That is if you can even get the app to communicate with your system. The best part? The app isn't included in the warranty, but there isn't a way to control it otherwise. 0/10

I too have had lots of hub-connection errors, but I think the problem is with the cloud service, not the app itself, and I think I found a workaround. Sign out, then go to the sign-in screen and click on "No internet" below the sign-in button, and enter the secure ID from the bottom of the hub. If it complains that wifi is off (as it did for me on Android 10), go to Android Settings > Apps > Ecovent > Permissions and turn on Location ("while using the app" is enough). After I did that, sign-in worked, and I haven't seen any errors since. In this mode it can't connect when I'm away from the house, but I've almost never used that capability anyway. Feature wishlist: I wish the app would show the vent positions (years ago it did). I wish I could see a table of all the info (room name, set-temp, sensor temp, humidity, vent position, for all rooms) on one screen. I wish it would show the thermostat temp it's trying to set, so I could check whether the thermostat is getting the message. When it occasionally leaves a vent open that clearly ought to be closed, or vice-versa, I wish it would offer an explanation. I wish it had a automatic-heat-or-cool mode, where each room had a target range rather than a single target temperature, because in spring and fall it can be quite cold at night and hot in the afternoon.

This current app version is not working for me. I've had the ecovent system for quite a few years and was very pleased with the app performance. However, when ecovent ownership changed last year nothing worked. Fortunately I tried an earlier app version, version 1.11.0, from a backup and have finally been able to connect with the hub and reconnect with the sensors and vents. Even after getting the system communicating again with the previous app version this current app still doesn't work.

This app is completely broken and won't allow sign-in. I've received very little, and more often no, support from the company.

Ecovent can work well when it works. Since they were bought out support is non existent. Constant disconnections and app seldom works. For as expensive as the system is, it is a waste of time and I am very sorry I ever invested in it. It is going in the dumpster after fighting with it for two years.

I have had the system for over two weeks and the app does not connect to the hub. So I don't know if the system ever works. Will return if they don't figure out a solution soon.
