Difficult to install on a Samsung Galaxy, more importantly does NOT notify me of alerts (I've checked my phone settings, called support again, etc). Every 2-3 days I open the app and have a notification about being unable to connect. No other devices in my house are having issues, there is no error code. Again support was unable to resolve the issue and suggested that I call a contractor. My water heater and wifi is less than one year old. The product, software, or both need improvements!

Poor layout, hard to get basic information. Disconnecting all the time. The only feature which seems the work is setting it up the away from home mode, a feature I have no real use for. It easy to add a device, which I have less use for (how many water heaters does does a home need), but next to impossible to just find out what the status is of the one I do own...

Updated: I'm now able to do scheduling. It's so easy to use and would save me a lot of energy/money. Glad that I have the wifi heater and this helpful app. The app would allow you to do basic tasks. However, it would not allow you to schedule when to turn on and when to turn off, etc. You may be able to do that with Alexa but you have to be very creative. Econet is the reason why I bought my wifi gas heater. Please fix the app.

Especially with the latest update constantly requesting location, I want to reiterate that this app is garbage. The econet module on my water heater constantly loses connection and the compatibility with Google home is useless. The water heater I purchased was advertised to work with Google home and I paid extra for this functionality, but Rheem did not support the latest versions. So 3 years later, an $800 smart appliance is essentially obsolete. I will not buy Rheem products ever again.

I like the hybrid water heater but this app leaves much to be desired. I got the hybrid water heater to save energy but there's no way to download the energy data with the app. I can view it and manually write it down so why can't i get a download? Also the main thing I want the app to do is tell me is the current water temp. in the heater. But it doesn't do that, it only gives the temp. setpoint. I'd also like to use the energy saver mode but have it switch to high demand only when needed.

On Android, app requires constant restarting for water heater (WH) changes to take affect. Schedule only allows 4 periods/day. Default schedule layout moves save button off screen w/ no scroll or ability to access. Needs some sort of snooz setting/button. WH is currently locked in off/away mode w/ no ability to update from app. Have to physically go to WH to turn it back on. Seems not much debugging went into dev. W/ so many basic issues, I would not trust its IoT security.
