Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing eCO2 on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Se sabe que la ciudadanía realiza a diario diferentes acciones que ayudan a reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, tales como transportarse en bicicleta o caminar hacia el trabajo, colegio o universidad, utilizar el transporte público en lugar del transporte particular, usar en sus casas equipos o electrodomésticos más eficientes o participar activamente en jornadas de siembra de árboles, etc. Dado que estas estas acciones no son fácilmente visibles, la plataforma eCO2 te ofrece un espacio para recopilar la información sobre los esfuerzos que haces a diario para combatir el cambio climático.

Está dirigida tato a la ciudadanía particular como a empresas, colegios, entidades gubernamentales, entre otras.

Las reducciones de emisiones o remociones de gases efecto invernadero (GEI) calculadas en esta aplicación son de carácter educativo, para que los ciudadanos estimen de manera indicativa su aporte a la mitigación de GEI causantes del calentamiento global. Debido a esto, dichas reducciones de emisiones o remociones de GEI no se tendrán en cuenta dentro de la contabilidad nacional de reducciones de emisiones o remociones de GEI, y por tanto, no serán elegibles ni válidas en ningún programa de certificación de GEI, lo que implica que no pueden ser ofertadas en el marco de ningún instrumento de fijación de precio al carbono, ni en ningún mecanismo de mercado de carbono a nivel nacional o internacional u otro instrumento similar.
