Ongi etorriak handitutako errealitatearen mundura. Welcome to augmented reality. What is it and why are we using it in our campaign? Augmented reality is spectacular software used to create effects such as the ones you can see in this app, where Izaskun Bilbao, Andoni Ortuzar and Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu, the Basque Premier, come to life through our campaign materials, such as the leaflets and even the huge tarpaulin that covers our Bilbao headquarters, Sabin Etxea. It may seem like magic, but it is much more: just like Internet, email or the social networks, but on a larger scale. And very soon it will part of our daily life.
Augmented reality will let you access a wealth of information quickly and easily, and that is our aim with this app: for you to have fun following the EAJ-PNV campaign. Thanks to this virtual gimmick, we want to really get to know Izaskun Bilbao, what she is really like, the Izaskun that is among the five most hard-working MEPs at the European Parliament.
The app will let you access the messages that we update daily and where Izaskun Bilbao will be speaking to you at your own home, when you are at work, or wherever you are, about the issues that interest you as a European citizen. You can also reay Izaskun Bilbao’s blog, which has been updated throughout this parliament so we can follow her work in Brussels or Strasbourg, or the different digital social networks where the MEP and the Basque Nationalist Party (EAJ-PNV) report on their day-to-day work. The campaign agenda and a comprehensive range of audiovisual contents (videos, streaming, radio jingles, images, etc.) make up the contents of this application where augmented reality takes centre stage. Thanks to this technology, you can take a photo of yourself with the candidate, the Lehendakari and the chair of the National Executive (EBB) of the EAJ-PNV.
In short, you can see how Izaskun Bilbao defends Basque interests and learn about her proposals for the coming years as we have a great deal at stake in Europe. We need more Basque Country and more EAJ-PNV model to construct another Europe, a more caring, more social and more humane Europe.
