This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Turck duotec Latooyete App on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Latooyete uses sensors to work out the temperature of your coffee and protects your sensors, or rather, your taste buds. The data is then transmitted by means of NFC to a smartphone, where the temperature is displayed.

Latooyete is an electronic device designed to record temperature data. Its miniaturized format means it can be easily used to record the temperature of drinks – especially hot drinks such as coffee. Thanks to its thin battery, which is an integral part of the device, and its low power consumption, it can be used as a temperature data logger for a long time with great ease and reliability.

Latooyete uses NFC to wirelessly transmit data within a range of just a few centimetres. The data is transmitted passively and is called up by the reader (the smartphone). In this case, the NFC controls the measurement of the temperature and the transmission of the data. The on-board battery controls the LED display, on the one hand, and is used for logging the temperature when it is not connected to a smartphone. No pairing is necessary and the data of the Latooyete are freely accessible on all devices within a range of just a few centimetres. No licence is required for the frequency used: 13.56 MHz. Turck Duotec does not record or store the measurements or other data of the smartphone.

You will need a Latooyete demonstrator and an NFC capable mobile phone to use the app. The app has been tested with Android 4.4 to 8.0 and NFC-V compatible devices.

The typical distance to the swizzle stick (depending on the smartphone) is max. 1 cm and max. 10 cm with the optional range extender.

Measuring range: -40 to +125 °C (temperature sensor), -40 to 85°C (battery)
Measuring accuracy: ± 0.5 °C from -25 °C to 65 °C
