The app worked fine back on Jan 2020. Recently noticed my 2902A console needed a firmware update. So I updated. It updated but the update will let my console connect to my LAN but no WAN/Internet. Slow flash of the wifi icon. Tech support was no help. So i bought a 2902b and it setup just fine. Updated the formware and now this console is broken too. Junk! Stay away. And if it works never update the firmware on the console.

My modem crapped out, I had to figure out how to reconnect to wifi so I can broadcast to the internet from my personal station. Man it took me forever. I downloaded the Osprey app not this one. I had to go into my modem, turn off 5gz or what ever and only use 2.4. I also turned off mobile data. It worked immediately. My station model is WS2902. I hope this helps. Once connected it works flawlessly. It had been 2 years since I did this and I couldn't remember. So remember these steps and try them. Thanks

I do have to say that this application could use a lot of help making it more useful. It is very "simple" in functionality. I understand that it doesn't need to be like how you use your console, Laptop, or even a tablet. But it should be much more "friendly" to be able to see your home console and other consoles that are public with basic information (What is shows on Dashboards). Other than it giving me a very easy way to update my WiFi firmware it's not something anyone would use regularly. I think most people would enjoy using their Smartphones for just being able to "see" Dashboards. My two cents. Hope it's something Ambient Weather is working on. :-)

I bought the WS-5000 at the suggestion of Ambient Weather after telling them that I do not have a SmartPhone, only to find out that updating the WiFi Firmware requires AWNET which will only function correctly using a SmartPhone. Various Android emulators run AWNET perfectly until it hangs and times out when trying to download WiFi Firmware. Ambient Weather should pay more attention to these reviews. While it seems that the former CTO, Ed Edelman, requested feedback from a number of reviewers in mid-2020, he has since retired, and reviewers continue to raise issues that were first reported three years ago.

Turn off mobile data. I was only able to get this app to set up my weather station after disabling mobile data first by putting my device into airplane mode. I then connected to Wi-Fi only l. Once I did this, it quickly set up the weather station. The instructions for this app should be updated to reflect this, or it should be fixed so that this is not required.

Spent 30 minutes and then said, "forget it!" Did they ever try this themselves??? When trying to configure it says put in the wifi info and press "next". THERE IS NO 'NEXT' UNTIL YOU SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM AND PRESS 'SAVE.' So then in connects and then you get a pop up where it tells you to connect your portable device to the wifi of the station that it give you. IT'S NOT IN YOUR LIST OF AVAILABLE WIFIS BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRANSMITTING!!! Absolutely the worst. Totally unusable.
