I have used mine with, and without, and there is a HUGE difference in the sound quality, and yes they do have to be equipped for Dolby to work, your headphones, that is. I won't say it as rudely as the one guy did, not everyone is an "idiot" just because they don't understand electronics!!! Thank you for the awesome app!!

App is unusually well done for a first effort. This is a companion app to the new Dolby Dimension headphones. The app is very well debugged even though it is fairly complicated. It's a must-have to set up the headphones because it's the only way to get the options the way you want. Great effort by the app developers! (The headphones themselves, not as impressive and already returned, but that's a different review.)

I'm giving this app a 5 cause there are a bunch of idiots on here that are butt hurt that it didn't work for their non Dolby Dimension headsets. Hey maybe try the Bose app too on your non Bose headsets. Then you can give them a 1 star for those features not working on your non Bose headset. It's like you bought a Prius and expect it to preform like a Lamborghini. Don't give an app or a developer a 1 star for your stupidity.

This apps is waste of time . taking a lots of time to connect through Bluetooth.

This app was a waste of time to download. I don't know how well it works because before it'll do what you want you have to buy the $600 cordless headphones from dolby the app is meant to control. Only then can you assign other things to Bluetooth. Nowhere in the app description does it say you have to purchase them first. Google should call them out over this.
