Couldn't use the app! It takes a lot of time to charge. Everytime you turn off the screen you have to start over. Very difficult to realise where you are and where should you go and also the attraction points aren't ranged by importance, there are just a lot of stars everywhere. Also battery runs out like crazy. I'm sorry i didn't take a usual guided tour.

Great app if you are visiting pompeii without a guide. We purchased the full app for £4.99 and it was worth it. It gave very detailed audio and written descriptions about all the important landmarks. It also shows you were you are on the map using GPS so we always knew where we were. It takes several hours to walk around and see all of the Pompeii site as it it huge. Give yourself at least 4-6 hours to see everything. Highly recommend this app and will save yourself a lot of money compared to paying for a professional guide. Most guided tours are 2 hrs and they walk around very fast around the main landmarks. However, We enjoyed taking in pompeii at our own pace.

We started the day arriving at Pompeii with no plans for a tour booked. Whilst waiting in the queue to purchase tickets I downloaded this app. The initial trial phase impressed me so much that I purchased the premium version for a VERY reasonable price.The app gives you access to a great map with the ability to show you where you’re at. There are dozens and dozens of areas you can go to and listen to an audio description through the app. Some of these areas are marked as recommended places and a

Good background noise while walking but that's it. There's too much bland and repetitive information given for each point of interest. There's only so many times you can hear "this was decorated in the fourth style" before it turns into a droning wannabe professor. Too much narrative detail is put on colours and things that we can see for ourselves instead of getting to the point about the significance of it. By the time the audioguide got to the interesting parts, we had already moved on.

Used this app for my day around Pompeii, I found it very useful. The voice over was great, the content skewed a bit more towards the architecture, but still did mention about the daily lifes and some of the history. A number of sites were not accessible today, but the apps description gave me some understanding of what was inside. The gps and the map worked fine for me. I heard the audio tour that you can buy, i preferred this, and it was cheaper.

Superb app. We recently had a couple of days in Pompeii and despite the fact we didn't use a huge majority of it, it was still really interesting and well, well worth the small amount of money you pay for the full app. Seriously, when it costs 15 euros each to get in, and around the same again for a decent guided tour, £3.49 (or your local equivalent) is a bargain, considering the amount of material.
