This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing TransETA BETA on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

South African students that do not own personal vehicles have to use buses provided by the Universities to get to the different campuses and to their respective student accommodation houses. Due to how unreliable the busses are with regards to time, students have to wait for the busses and often have to queue for long hours while not knowing the busses location or possible expected time of arrival. Furthermore, students sometimes miss classes and exams because of this challenge.

Transport Estimated Time of Arrival in short TransETA is the mobile app that allows South African students to track their Inter-campus busses in real time. With dedicated live updates of their campus bus, TransETA can provide live tracking and location updates of their busses in real-time while providing a possible Estimated time of arrival with correct updates considering traffic and weather. TransETA also uses A.I and machine learning to estimate expected queuing times at different times of the day so that students can better plan around their university classes and exam schedules.
