This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing FotoDirs on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

The slide out drawer contains two sections. The top section, section 1 contains all the directories on the internal drive that have photos. Section 2 contains all the directories on the external drive that have photos. Selecting a directory in a section loads all the photos in that directory. Selecting a photo in a directory loads that photo. Information on the photo is displayed by selecting the info button (upside down triangle) on the menu bar. If long/lat is available for the photo, then a map info button is enabled on the menu bar. Selecting the map info button makes launched a web browser that will contain the google maps view of the photo's location.
