Båtbussguide is your audio guide for the river busses in Karlstad. You can listen to information about the places you pass at the same time as seeing where you are on the real-time map.

** About the River Busses **
During the summer months you are able to travel on river busses and experience Karlstad from the water. The River Busses are operated by Karlstadsbuss. There are seven different routes that offer fantastic trips around central Karlstad and out to the archipelago. New for this year is this iPhone App with audio guide amongst other things. The boat trip is both relaxing and interesting!

** About the App **
Båtbussguide should be primarily used when you travel on the river busses. With the App you can lean back and listen to a guided tour of the waters around Karlstad in your headphones. You can see the position of the boat on the map on your mobile (rather like a GPS navigator in your car). The map is constantly updated via GPS and the audio clips start automatically when the boat passes each place. There are over 50 interesting places in the guide that the boats pass.

« The position of the boat is shown on the map in real-time using GPS.
« The commentary starts automatically as the boat passes each place.
« A list of all places makes it easy to listen again to a specific commentary.
« Timetable for all river busses.
« All audio material is included in the App (to reduce roaming charges for foreign visitors and people without free data traffic). It is only the maps that are downloaded. The boats are equipped with free Wi-Fi (wireless internet).
« Continuous use of GPS in the background may reduce battery time.
« Works on iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4 (with in-built GPS).
« Available in Swedish, English, Spanish and German (as separate Apps in the Android Market).
