Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DFDS - Ferries & Terminals on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Note that it sneakily lists tickets to Dunkirk even when "Dover to Calais" was explicitly chosen as route. The difference is not highlighted in any way and can be a significant surprise for foot/bicycle passengers.

The app is working now. Thank you for resolving my issue. When the app has departure and arrival times built-in I will 5 rate it stars.

Could not use. I was offered this app in the email instead of filling in the passenger form, they said i could scan my passport. I could not add my booking, they asked for unit id and release number, but not booking reference. It is very confusing, so at the end i used the traditional form. I haven't explored what else the app can do, i am sure there are useful things but not for what i needed.

Not sure what the point of this app is.. I booked a trip with DFDS via direct ferries then downloaded this app to manage my booking...except there is no way in this app to add an existing booking anywhere. I signed up with the same email that I used on direct ferries and yeah, no "add existing trip using reference number" option. Seems pretty useless.

The app does not scan a passport, as stated. Passenger information dates for birth and passport expiry are flipped from the UK format of dd/mm/yyyy to the US format of mm/dd/yyyy with no warning and so are highly likely to be entered into your system incorrectly. There is no way to view Passenger Information for accuracy, nor to amend it within the app. Passenger information entered on the app does not appear in the online booking system. Use with great care or not at all.

App can't even find my booking and the company website just keeps saying internal error when I put our details in. Plus of course no customer service line at the weekends and we are meant to be sailing Monday morning. So what are we supposed to do. Now the app just keeps crashing. Disgusting service, wish I'd gone with P&O.

Check our timetables for our routes all over Europe. Buy your tickets, log-in or enter your booking details to store your ticket in your iPhone stay informed about your departures and journey.

If you are a freight driver, whether you are delivering or picking up units from a DFDS terminal, you can check the status of your booking to keep your waiting time at the terminal to a minimum.
