An extraordinarily bad UI/UX! This is the only Hi-fi equipment I have ever regretted buying. All because of the app. Something fundamental as volume control is forcibly set out of your control, because Devialet think you are unable to turn the volume down if it was left high. This is what parents do to their kids. I use them for TV optical output, and as we all know optical source has very low output volume, which means every time I switch on TV, the volume is so low that when I eat I cannot hear what they say. This is level 35, which might be OK on other sources. On optical, level 45-50 is needed. The very simple thing is to enable a user setting (with a disclaimer if they are so afraid of accountability), so the volume will stick to that instead of reverting to 35. Also to set this per source, and not one for all.

Probably the most frustrating app i have ever used. To make it connect your phantom (gold) to wifi, just reset the app ~20 times and it will randomly work. Weird and frustrating.

The speakers, when working are incredible, good.luck getting them and keeping them work as a stereo pair. I have more than 100+ hrs of my time invested in them along with nearly 3 years of back and forth with their customer service. I just sent my final email to them and there is a very high chance we will end up going to court. So if you plan to use these wirelessly, do your future self a huge favor and do not do so.

For the cost of the device you'd expect the app to work a lot better, it's fifty percent chance whether or not it will even find my speaker. All I want to do is adjust the volume and I refuse to pay more than I have for a remote control!!!

Look the app works. However, after spending a lot of money on their beautiful speakers, the feel and look of the app is seriously dissapointing. It looks old, buggy and lacks a lot of features which you would expect. For example, basic EQ control or if you have a stereo set up but you just want to play one speaker, you have to reset the system everytime. It's just painful. Devialet seriously need to up their game in the software side of things.

paid £2500 for a phantom gold cant fault the speaker but the app is shockingly bad. try and stream any music from deezer and it plays for 15 seconds and tidal doesnt play at all only way I can listen to music is if I pay for an album and download it to my phone or tablet. very dissatisfied with ths app. you pay alot of money for the phantom to be let down by the app.
