This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing LocAge on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

app allows users to create groups, set group presets ("tactical", "family", "motorsport", "hiking", "friends")

all groups are hidden for other users by default, but group admin can make a group public - so other "spectators" can watch movement of group members (e.x. watch car positions in an offroad competition or watch a team of climbers/hikers on the move)

special functions include:
- ability to see user list, instead of map view and get information about their location using:

a) custom grid (especially tactical grid, for military and mil-sim use (e.x. airsoft ) and get user positions by grid
b) preset (by a group admin) interest points , way points, target points, known zones - call whatever u like and get user positions relative to them
c) if user is too far from any point and is not inside the grid - users get positions relative to other users

example:
David is in RED BRICK BUILDING ( 3 secs ago)
Mike is 78m away from BIG TREE, NW (1.35 minutes ago)
Lars is 162m away from David, SE (16 secs ago)

12 hour system can be used instead of north-east-south-west indicators (where 12 hours are north and 6 hours are south)
