About this app

The Dee Shoots NYC Magazine is a visual story of every day life and events in New York City.

The magazine was created by Dee, a resident of New York City for nearly the past decade. Prior to that, NYC was just a 20 minute bus ride away, and she visited the city often. Dee is a photographer, and has been actively photographing life around her for over 15 years. Each of the photos that you’ll find in this magazine have been personally shot by her. These images are moments captured by her, through her lens from a New Yorker’s perspective, as she experienced them.

The Dee Shoots NYC Magazine will feature weekly publications of images of tourist attractions, places to go, the best restaurants, things to do and coverage of some of New York City’s best events. Dee has opened her world to you, to introduce you to the best that New York City has to offer. Every day that she goes out into the city, she carries her camera with her, ready to photograph anything or anyone that creates a memory or experience worth sharing.

Dee hopes that through the images she shares, she’ll be able to show both native New Yorkers and first timers why she fell in love with this great city. They say New York City is a place that is "always under construction". There is so much history and culture to take in inside the city that never sleeps: every day, another building is built, a restaurant opens; it never stops. Dee wishes to help viewers navigate the city, and for those not physically in NYC to be able to share in the experience through her photography.
