Cool watch but the app is terrible. Why MTM would not make a fully functional app that work well with Samsung's best selling phones on the market such as the S9 or S10. I guess paying $700 for a smart watch now days does not guarantee you will get a working Android app.

I no longer wear the watch because of this app. Honestly it needs a complete overhaul. It will stay connected but once it disconnects and then reconnects the alerts no longer work until I uninstall everything and reinstall like the first time I did it. That means re-adding all my cities for world times, recalibrating the watch hands, and re-adding the hot button. Not something I want to do everytime I want to wear the watch...

Totally agree with Eric's review: The watch itself is very cool but the functionality and/or compatibilty is not good at all. Which is one of the primary reasons I bought the watch in the first place. #1 - it doesnt work well with Samsungs 'flagship' phones? Wow. After purchase and download of the app, I saw a small disclaimer in the support section of the app that states it did not test well with Samsung S8 or S9 - and I have an S9. Of course this info was not disclosed on the website or item page and it may have influenced my purchase decision. (why download and read the app if I dont have the watch??) On phone calls the watch does not show the contact or a phone number even with all permissions allowed - it does not decline calls with the A pusher as advertised, it does not track steps properly or show totals for calories burned or distance. You cant change the notification patterns as claimed in the instructions. The app doesnt even have notification support for the native text message app. It just doesnt work as expected. Wait - why did I buy this watch and havent returned it yet??? I sure hope the firmware and app are updated - and soon.

The watch is awesome, the app is lackluster. Very limited options on the notification settings. I use textra as my sms program and the only way to get notifications from it is to enable ALL notifications. Everytime I need to restart my phone, the app shows it is disconnected from the watch and does not download data from it until you redo pairing in the app again. Also, the step tracking is good day of, history is inaccurate. The app and connection issues are unforgivable. Watch returned.

This watch simply has not been perfected yet. Too many problems to list. Very disappointed. I have 5 other models that work great.

I love the watch but the help to get this watch to work with my daily phone has been frustrating.

About this app

The MTM Watch is the first hybrid smartwatch that combines the look and functionality of a traditional watch with abilities that are evident in today’s smartwatches. Discreetly housed in the casing of a classical timepiece is technology that keeps tabs on your daily activity, provides traveler with local and world time/weather, turn-by-turn navigation, in addition to hot keys for Camera/Music control/Find My Phone features and even a sophisticated mechanical compass. Of course, the watch handles smartphone notifications seamlessly.

The heart of the analog is not a traditional movement but a state of the art “triple bi-directional gearbox”, which means the developer can configure the traditional watch hands (hour, minute and second) to do much more that telling time (e.g. compass and event alert).

Smart and discreet, MTM Watch is the smartwatch of choice for anyone who appreciates the value of complications in a traditional timepiece, yet, enjoys the functionalities of a day to day smartwatch.”
