The app's surge pricing was insane. The ride ended up costing 3x what an Uber or Lyft eould have costed. On top of that, when I got my receipt, the app had added a nearly $10 tip without my consent. Definitely would NOT recommend this app.

About this app

Kid Car is the only car service in New York City that provides safe transport for children by providing specially trained and vetted drivers with age and weight-appropriate, properly-installed car seats available in every vehicle.

Parents can make on-demand (ride now), advance (next Tuesday at 11am), and recurring (the entire school year) reservations using the Kid Car App.

Kid CarPool allows multiple families to share the cost of a vehicle for school or after-school activities.

Kid Car drivers are fingerprinted, vetted, and trained in the installation of our car seats as well as many others. Families can choose to pay a little extra to have the same driver every day.

Kid Car provides up to 3 car seats in every vehicle. Car seats are designed for children between 5 – 100lbs. Caregivers are responsible for properly securing the children in the vehicle.

Kid Car vehicles undergo DMV inspections every 4 months.
