About this app

Dancity is an app for a social dancing network that allows event promoters, venue owners, and teachers to post their social-dance events as well as sell tickets to those events on a single platform

Features:

- Promote Dance Events
- Promote Dance Classes
- Sell Tickets to Events
- Sell Passes for Classes

When I first got into social-dance scene in 2016, it was really difficult to find dance venues around town. The information online was either out-of-date, hard-to-find, or not user-friendly. I decided that I wanted to create a “social-dancing network” that would allow everyone around the world (including myself ;) the ability to have everything dance in one place, so in 2017 I began designing Dancity.

Being an ER Nurse myself, the learning curve for designing a web app (as well as finding a team to build it) was high. I knew very little about the inner workings of the tech world and even less about creating applications. All I knew was, I wanted this app to exist, not just for me, but for everyone who’s had to struggle to try and break into the dance scene.

Fast-forward to 2019, the Dancity (beta) is now up and running after 30+ design iterations over the span of 2 years alongside one other app product “Pocket Bachata”, which was originally created to help fund Dancity (lol on the funding part ;).

This project was created by people who are passionate about what they do; from our designers to our coders, our team has worked diligently to create something beautiful that we hope inspires new dancers and allows dancers all around to world to create their own global dance family.

If you have suggestions on improvements, business inquiries, or are interested in partnering with us either financially or otherwise, then please email us at support@dancity.com.

We are constantly working to add new features (and clean existing ones) as quickly as possible, but that takes time/money/hard-work so bare with us while we take all your suggestions into consideration and please support us as we try to implement your requests.

See you on the dance floor!
