ickymart Soccer Academy is a football academy located in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. Our aim is to develop kids between the ages of 3-17yrs in the principles of football, with both off and on the pitch activity, tailored at bringing out the best in this kids, while ensuring development.
Our vision is to encourage the fun game, while nurturing the next professionals, driving recruitments from grass root focusing on talents from disadvantage locations.
The academy is already in full gear and we have over 50 players cutting across all age categories and we are still scouting and admitting, at the moment we run three categories this includes the foundation development phase, the youth development phase and the professional development phase. These categories are based on ages and tactical awareness of the players
Our coaching crew and admin team consist of 10 individuals and two outsourced grounds men. We presently train at the University of Calabar International secondary school pitch.
We are currently working on our training grounds which will allow us admit more kids from under privilege areas. The academy believes in investing in kids, while encouraging discipline that comes with the game. The dream of the academy is to provide a means via which talented kids can be given the opportunity to develop in to world class players, with both off and on the pitch training curriculum
We also operate a play group that admits kids within the age of 3-5years. This is to encourage the fun game among kids and encourage parents to be a part of their kid’s football development from the early years.
The vision of the academy is to become number one in soccer development in Africa, while our mission is to promote the fun game while building professionals.
