About this app

MP3 Tagger! is a tag editor for MP3 files (ID3 tag metadata format).

WHAT'S NEW IN v1.1:
- NOW includes support for storing lyrics (Unsync) with your music files.
- NOW includes a useful media player with a lyrics view. Sing along!
- NOW includes support for storing an album image with your music files.

DESCRIPTION:
The MP3 ID3 tags store metadata information such as the title, artist, album, track number, track lyrics and other information in the audio file itself.

The App can both access local files (stored in your device's internal memory) and remote files (stored in you NAS, CIFS, SMB, Samba servers or in your Windows PC as shared files).

It can access the most usual ID3 tags. Stay tuned to updates to support further advanced tags.

Usage:
1. Create a music repository (local directories or remote file shares where you store your music files), clicking on the "+" sign. You can later edit it by long-clicking on its name.
2. Click on a repository name to navigate to the music file you want to edit.
3. Click on a music file to read its metadata information (if available). Edit that metadata and save it.
4. Click on the playlist icon to open the Media Player. Play your music, show the lyrics ("^") if available and... Sing along!

KNOWN LIMITATIONS:
- Because of the limitations that Android impose, files with edited tags cannot be stored in your SD card (only in a very specific folder). But they can be saved to SMB/CIFS shares or to your phone's internal storage.

NOTE: The original music file (mp3) will be also saved with a bak extension. You can now disable that behaviour under Settings. But you should always keep a backup of your music files in a safe place, more so if you are editing them.

New features

Beta version. Media player included. Songs can be added to a queue by long-clicking on them. There's a new screen where queued songs can be played. This queued playlist can play in the background.
Known bugs:
When the app is in the background, after a long time, the app can crash when returning to it. The service that plays music in the background doesn't end gracefully. No other side effects because of this behaviour have been detected.
