Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SonarCards on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

SonarCards™ is a tool that you use to help you better operate your Sonar/GPS unit on your boat. It is like having a sonar guru sitting next to you, telling you to hit this button and/or that button to perform a particular function like loading waypoints or setting up your unit. SonarCards™ give you step by step button or touch sequences without having to look it up in the manual and then hope you interpret it correctly. The manufacturer’s manuals are great reference tools but not when you’re on the water and need to get something done quickly and with confidence. That is when SonarCards™ can help you.

The latest version of SonarCards™ contains card packages for Lowrance HDS®, Lowrance HDS® Gen 2 and Gen 3 Touch fishfinder/chartplotter units. There is also a card package that contains troubleshooting help. Other card packages will be available in the near future for those with different units.

This application runs on phone and tablet devices.

New features

This release contains a new SonarCard set for Lowrance Gen 3 Touch units. The GPS Coordinate Converter Tool was redone with a custom keyboard tailored to entry of GPS coordinates. There are also some minor edits on the Gen 2 Touch card set.
