Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ELRO Connects on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Using the smoke and heat detectors for almost 10 months. Batteries are still at 100% which is strange in my honest opinion. There's a spot in the hallway where i've tried 2 elro smoke detectors and at regular bases this smoke detector gives false alarm (8 beeps) at night, not in the summer. The one in my bedroom doesn't go off. Also the app does not show this in the alarm history or i don't receive a notification. The reason why I chose elro was because of notifications when the alarm goes of..

App won't connect to K1, even after changing all kinds of settings on my wifi router. Also tried on another network at work, still no result. Seems that the connector can connect to the wifi, but not with the app

All connected devices are connected again after the last update. But one of the largest problems with the app is the initial setup of the connector, this is not fixed yet. If you have 2.4 Ghz and a 5 Ghz network with the same SSID, the installation wizard will get stuck without a warning or explanation. Had to go through trial and error, you have to disable the 5Ghz network from your accespoints and remove it from your phone before you can get through the installation wizard successfully.

After a power failure of the wifi connector, the detectors don't automatically get reconnected to the wifi connector. You need to reconnect them manually, one by one. Also, if the wifi connector is switched off, devices don't relay any alarms anymore. If one goes off, the other ones don't. In essence, the system can't deal with a power failure of the wifi connector.

Works partially. New devices are connected easily to the home connector. Easy to set up alarms and modes for certain actions/situations. Schedule/timer doesn't always work. Constant notification in the status bar. A widget to easily witch modes would be a nice feature.

Coupling the devices to eachother and your phone at the same time does not work. An update was promised but not yet delivered. Until that update is ready, stay away.

About this app

By using the ELRO Connects app you are able to easily connect all ELRO products to each other and to your smartphone. With the ELRO Connects app you can configure the devices, manage them and control them. All from one app!


You can connect a wide range of devices to the ELRO Connects. The products can be divided into 3 different categories:
1. Fire safety. Consisting of smoke-, CO-, heat- and water detectors.
2. Intruder security. Consisting of motion sensors, door-/window contacts, SOS button and a vibration/flash alarm.
3. Comfort. Consisting of a thermometer, radiator thermostat and smart switches.

The main unit is the K1 connector, which provides the connection with the internet. This device includes a build in siren and LED lighting.


Make your life more comfortable with the ELRO connects app. The app enables you to set different scenes in which for example the light turns on/off at a set time. You can also make an automation related to detection of motion or doors opening.
Use water detectors for your washing machine and a radiator thermostat to heat up the bathroom in the morning.
By adding security devices such as motion sensors and magnetic contacts you turn the system into an alarm system.
