The Compliment Button attempts to combine simplicity with a meaningful impact on the world. Recognizing the danger that suicide and depression pose to many individuals today, we hope that this app has the ability to help people improve their lives.
The Compliment Button began as a joke between friends. What if there was an app that would give compliments when you pressed a button? As we began to discuss it more, the idea became more and more serious. The questions went from “What if the button had different colors?” to “How can we use this idea to help people?” From there, the idea evolved. We realized that we could help to raise awareness for suicide prevention with our simple idea. While not being elaborate, we hope that our button can have a positive impact on the world.
