Our Dream

Dream BIG, start small, start NOW defines the essence of our story thus far. Our dream is growing bigger every day as we continue our journey and embark on new projects.

We would like to show appreciation to our domestic ladies and through this provide them with a sense of purpose and hope to believe in themselves. We would like our domestic ladies to understand the importance of their jobs and to appreciate the important role that they play in our homes.

They need to realise that their job is not inferior to others and that in many homes they are the right hand. We want each lady to, despite their circumstances, realise and recognize their own goals and dreams.

We would like to create a platform to be able to teach our domestic ladies various skills. We want to provide a networking opportunity so that they are able to communicate with various individuals that may assist these ladies with their specific needs (such as dealing with abuse or obtaining a driver’s license). We would like to teach our domestic ladies basic health and safety skills such as first aid, general health and hygiene. The importance of recycling and keeping living environments clean are the types of values that we envisage teaching them.

These ladies, like us, are also mothers, sisters and wives and we would like to invest in these individuals so that they are able to be the best woman that they can be. If we can inspire these ladies, they can inspire the people around them to dream, set and achieve goals, to be accountable and to contribute to better their communities. We want to motivate these ladies to be the “best that they can be”

We see our vision as having a “pay it forward” effect. With the values that we would like to teach our domestic ladies, and with over 1 million domestic workers register in South Africa, we would like to make it possible for these values to reach the children and families of these ladies. God has given us the passion and the drive to continue on this journey.
