About this app

The Colombia football team (Selección de fútbol de Colombia) is the selection of Colombian players representing the country at international men's football competitions. The Colombian selection is nicknamed the Tricolor.
The Colombian national team played the first official match of its history in 1938, two years after the affiliation of the national federation to the South American Football Confederation. In 2001, she won the main trophy in her history, Copa America, which she hosts, defeating Mexico in the final.
The selection commences for the first time in the qualifiers of a World Cup in 1957, after a suspension of nearly ten years by FIFA. She qualified for the finals of six editions (1962, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2014 and 2018) and reached the quarter-finals in 2014, which is her best performance so far at a World Cup.
In July 2016, Colombia is on the podium of the FIFA ranking (3rd place), its best historical position, reached previously in December 2014.
