This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Nucleus Smart on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

This app is great! I love how I can listen to music and etc. But there still is an issue with bluetooth software within the app; sometimes whenever I would listen to something, the right or the left would get static and be out of sync, even when my S21+ is right in front of me. This has been going on for sometime and it's quite annoying. I suggest to fix the Bluetooth software within the app to strengthen the connectivity for a better experience. (At least I think that's where the problem is)

It's a great app when it works. I constantly have to log out ND and back in. Sometimes it works and sometimes you have yo do it multiple times. Usually takes 5 minutes of messing with the app before it will work. Do yourself a favor and get the remote. Which you have to pay for even though this app does not work most of the time.

I have bilateral Kanso 2's. The app started off working good in February when I got my units activated but since then, my right unit constantly disconnects from the app almost daily. Once in a great while I can I get it to reconnect but most of the time I have to reboot my phone.

I thought it was great until now im finding out that this app doesn't include the feature of CoPilot. Sadly this is only available to APPLE DEVICES & NOT FOR ANDROID AND HAD ME TOTALLY UPSET because I have Samsung Note-9 and I now can't take advantage of this new app you are promoting. HOW CAN A CORPORATION AS BIG AS YOU NOT MAKE AN APP AVAILABLE TO BOTH DEVICES SINCE NOT EVERYONE USES APPLE & VICE VERSA????

Had the implant just over a year now and still cannot hear human voice only birds and other unrelated noises. The App is a joke volume as well as bass & treble controls. I even switched from Samsung to Apple iphone but the results are just the same. I really regret getting my implant from Cochlear.

My phone detects my implants and connects to both via Bluetooth. In the app it recognizes both but sees them as separate units so it won't pair them both at the same time. Highly disappointed

With the Cochlear™ Nucleus® Smart App you can control your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor directly from your compatible mobile device for a personalised hearing experience.

With the Nucleus Smart App, you can:
- Change programs on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor and activate Cochlear True Wireless™ streaming
- Activate audio streaming on compatible Android devices (see Compatibility section below)
- Adjust the volume, treble/bass and sensitivity settings (if enabled by your healthcare professional) on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor
- Adjust the volume of your Cochlear True Wireless™ devices
- Locate your lost Nucleus 7 Sound Processor
- View Nucleus 7 Sound Processor status and battery level
- Track time in spent in speech and number of coil offs

Note: To access the complete functionality of the Nucleus Smart App you will need a Cochlear Account, or you can try the app in Demo Mode.
To use the Nucleus Smart App, you first need to pair your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor with a compatible mobile device. See in-app instructions or visit our support page www.nucleussmartapp.com/android/pair.

Compatibility: To use the Nucleus Smart App for Android, your device will need to run Android 8 or later and support Bluetooth 4.0 and later. Audio streaming is only available on Android devices where the device manufacturer has enabled Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) technology. For a list of verified devices or to learn more about devices that support audio streaming visit https://www.cochlear.com/compatibility.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The Nucleus Smart App only uses your GPS when it detects your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor has been lost or turned off, and does not constantly track your location.
