If you don’t know what a fidget spinner is, you either haven’t been watching the news or you don’t have school aged children. A fidget spinner is basically a spinning toy that has been hailed as a way to relieve stress or fidgeting that can be brought on by nerves or sensory issues. It’s small and can nearly fit in the palm of your hand.

Schools are all over are divided on just how helpful a fidget spinner is, arguing that in many ways that are more distracting then anything else. If you are pro-fidget spinner, then this post is for you! Check out some of these amazing DIY fidget spinners for your antsy kids

Bearing Fidget Spinner, This spinner gets it’s inspiration from the traditional design of using bearings. All it takes is 4 bearings, 1 for the center and 3 evenly spaced and glued on the outside to get a great spin going.

Cardboard Fidget Spinner, If you’d like to go for a simpler version of a fidget spinner, this cardboard design is a great start. Made with just cardboard, coins and some glue, your kids will be getting their fidgets out in no time.

Fidget Spinner There’s almost nothing that can’t be made or replicated with and the fidget spinner is proof positive. If your kids already love, chances are you have the pieces to make a spinner already.

Craft Stick Fidget Spinner These craft stick fidget spinners are the perfect way to personalize your stress release. Made with a skate bearing, washings and craft sticks, these fidget spinners are a fun alternative to the “boring” traditional plastic design.
Bead Fidget Spinner, If you’re like me, you like pretty things and that’s why I love this fidget spinner! Made with a bearing and some beads on a thread, this is the cutest fidget spinner you ever did see.

Paracord hand Fidget Spinner, If you have a child that loves to work with their hands, this is a great spinner that will also keep their little hands busy just making it.
Maybe if I made the fidget spinner a little more fun it would attract my son’s attention again. When I look at it I see a perfect canvas for decorating. It really does need some bright and beautiful colors. That’s just the way my mind thinks. I want to craft everything pretty.

*Fidget Spinner
*Neon Acrylic Paint
*Small paint brush – I use the small round paint brushes from this set.
*Sealant – I like this sealant because it’s matte and non-sticky. I use it often on my painted rocks.

Directions:
1. Clean you spinner with a damp cloth and dry completely.
2. Start making tiny dots, closely spaced apart around each of the three rings. I started on the very outside of the ring, but it may be easier to start on the inside and work your way out.
3. Let the paint dry completely.
4. Seal your finished design with a spray sealant.
If you're all sorts of obsessed with fidget spinners, we think you'll enjoy these fidget toys, too.

I hope you do feel inspired by this fantastic set of DIY Fidget Spinners and that you have a go do check out the Science of Fidget Spinners which should give you lots of inspiration of how to turn these DIY Fidget Spinners into a cool Science Fair project.
