This TTS voice (Lauren) appears to be the most intelligible of the CereProc female, UK English voices for android. To my ear, it is straight forward, without affectations, local accents, or quirks. It isn't "funny," or "emotional," which is precisely what I was looking for: a text to audio reader I didn't have to second guess, that works offline, and is reasonably fast. The CereProc website let's you try phrases with their voices, however, the voices are so cheap, I pretty much buy-to-try.

Very clear and easy to listen to! I have found this TTS to be very clear, smooth and easy to listen to. There are a few pronunciation glitches, but they are few and far between. Definitely one of the better Cereproc voices.

Good app but it desperately needs a save button. Useless without it.

Issue with Oreo - crashes tts settings. You can add it as the tts but if you hit the cogwheel for settings it crashes every time. this goes for all CereProc tts.
