About this app

A travel App and a commercial directory which contains information on historical sites, tourist attractions and places of general interest in Casco Antiguo, the old quarter of Panama City. With this tool, tourists can explore Casco Antiguo using the practical suggested routes, see recent photos, read the most important information related to the places they want to visit, and reach them with the help of its geographic coordinates and Google® map.

In each site, you can use the function of geolocation and the GPS location on your smartphone, which will supply the App latitude and length of its current location, allowing you to get straight to the site of interest or know how far is the place you want to visit. In order to use the geolocation feature, you must previously give consent, since the App cannot access those data without your authorization. The App does not store in our databases in the cloud any information about the visited sites,the users or their current geographic location.

In case of searching for a store in the business directory, the user may directly place a phone call to the store, through a call button, or visit its web page through a button linking to the web address.

The Casco Antiguo of Panama City, also known as Casco Viejo (Old Quarter), is located in the borough of San Felipe; It was founded in 1673 and this is the place where the new Panama City stood when, by the year of 1671, the first city was sacked and burned by pirates under the command of Henry Morgan.

The Casco Antiguo of Panama was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1997. It has interesting museums, ancient churches, historic sites, government offices, casual and elegant restaurants, flashy hotels, typical shops and luxury residences. Many of its old buildings are still in the process of remodeling.
