About this app

Alight will introduce you to works of art across Oxford, New York City, London and Washington, DC in a way that explores the story of The Passion in challenging and contemporary ways.

Use the map to direct you to locations where key works can be found – in both religious and secular spaces, from cathedrals to museums, and even national monuments.

When you find a work of art, put your headphones on, press play and listen to short commentaries by artists, historians, theologians and others. In these podcasts they will share some of the spiritual responses they have to these works.

Alight invites you to take time to contemplate the works you alight on, and if they set your spirit alight, you can capture your response with the Alight slider.

While using the interactive map, you will be notified when you are near a key location. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
